I recently retired after serving as a Superior Court Judge for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch for 18 years. During that time, I successfully resolved thousands of civil cases prior to trial. In addition, I was frequently chosen by counsel to conduct “mini-trials” in personal injury cases, where the parties agreed to a streamlined courtside proceeding, much like an arbitration.
During my time on the bench, I served as the Chief Administrative Judge for the Civil Division and as the Presiding Civil Judge in both the New Haven and New Britain Judicial Districts. Prior to becoming a judge, I was an attorney in private practice, focusing exclusively on civil matters. I also served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Meriden, as a member of the Connecticut General Assembly, as an Adjunct Professor at Quinnipiac University, and as President of the Connecticut Judges Association. I am a member of both the Connecticut and New York bars.
I earned my BA from Trinity College and am an honors graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law.
